Vague Legislation

Yet the again the Government can’t seem to get anything right. Comic book artist and writers are up in arms, including our famous Alan Moore. His daughter, also a graphic artist, has even set up a Comic Book Alliance. This is all because of a new Bill that Parliament are discussing this week. This Bill is comprised to try and close down on ‘hardcore paedophilic cartoon porn’ which comes mainly from Japan. However this will affect many comic book fans, for example Watchman, as it contains sexual activity taken place with a child present. So I’m sorry to say that if this piece of Legislation comes into affect this means Watchman is banned, so get ready to hide your copies under the floorboards.

Of course I’m not saying it is wrong to bring in this piece of Legislation, it is however wrong if the definitions are so vague that it is unclear what is and what isn’t acceptable and results in affecting innocent comic artist, writers and fans.
